VI.15.5 Pompeii. March 2009. Room 1, looking west across atrium. According to NdS, the tuscan atrium was spacious, with an impluvium of tufo in the middle. The flooring was littered with small pieces of coloured marble. The walls were devoid of any decoration and that this house was undergoing restoration was demonstrated by the building materials found here and there. Found in the atrium were two bronze seals, one with the name Titiniae Saturni, and Sogliano could read L. Sepun(i) Symphron(is) on the other. Another bronze seal was found in a cubiculum on the north side of the atrium, it read - C. Stlacci Epitynchan(i)

However, he still believed the house was owned by M. Pupius Rufus, due to the large number of writings on its own and neighbouring walls.
